BIO

Lucía Lubarsky is a director, screenwriter, producer, and poet. She directed the documentary series Nosotras, which premiered on Argentina’s Public TV Network and national streaming platforms, and released the documentary miniseries Arde, also on the National Public TV Network in August 2023. She directed the short film Instantáneas, which participated in various national and international festivals. Her short films Mujeres del Ajusco, Morir en Varanasi, and Estar viva were showcased at the Mar del Plata Film Festival. Morir en Varanasi was the winner of the Kirchner Cultural Center Poetry Now! Contest. She is currently developing her second feature-length documentary, Yo, el negro Iván, which was a recipient of the National Fund for the Arts Grant and is participating in several development labs. She has authored two poetry books, El sonido de la luz and La distancia habitable. El silencio de los hombres is her directorial debut.
