Lara Maltz (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1992) is a visual artist, stop motion director, and animator. She graduated from the Scenography program at the Metropolitan School of Dramatic Art (EMAD) in Buenos Aires in 2014. She trained in workshops with different artists in disciplines such as printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics. She continued her studies, graduating from the Master’s program in Stop Motion Animation and Directing at the Barcelona Film School (ECIB) in 2019. Psychophonic, her group project for the end of her Master’s program, has been selected and awarded at numerous international festivals. Ashkasha is her first short film as a director, a work where her entire artistic universe is set in motion..
