Edgardo Dieleke (Buenos Aires, 1980) is a film director and screenwriter. He is also an editor, researcher, and professor of film and literature. He earned his doctorate in Latin American Literature from Princeton University. Alongside Daniel Casabé, he directed the documentaries La forma exacta de las islas (2014) and Cracks de nácar (2013). These films were respectively nominated for the Sur Award for Best Documentary by the Argentine Academy of Cinema and the Condor Award by the Argentine Association of Film Critics; they were also selected for competition at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and the Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. La sudestada is their debut fiction film.
