Daniel Casabé (Buenos Aires, 1979) is a director and screenwriter. He is also an editor, researcher and professor of film and literature. He graduated from the Universidad del Cine and has worked as editor and postproducer in over twenty films. Alongside Edgardo Diekele, he directed the documentaries La forma exacta de las islas (2014) and Cracks de nácar (2013). These films were respectively nominated for the Sur Award for Best Documentary by the Argentine Academy of Cinema and the Condor Award by the Argentine Association of Film Critics; they were also selected for competition at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and the Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema. La sudestada is their debut fiction film.
