Pedro Speroni is a film director, screenwriter, and producer hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2014, he directed the short film Peregrinación, which premiered at BAFICI. In 2021, he directed his first feature-length documentary, Rancho, which was selected for Berlinale Talents and premiered at BAFICI 2021. The film won the award for Best First Feature and was selected for the international competitions at Sheffield Doc/Fest, Guadalajara Film Festival, Valladolid Film Festival, 3 Continents Festival, and Entrevues Belfort International Film Festival, where it received the Audience Award for Best Feature Film. In 2023, his project Los Bilbao will have its world premiere in the international competition at Visions du Réel Film Festival. He is currently developing his next documentary, Hermanas, about the lives of a group of women incarcerated in a maximum-security prison in Argentina.
