Nicolás Stefanazzi

BIO

He was born in 1986 and studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2010, he founded the audiovisual production company Uramielo Producciones. In early 2015, he began writing the short fiction film Tiempo de sequía, a project that won the HB 14 contest from Argentina’s National Film Institute (INCAA, as per its Spanish acronym), which he directed and was commercially released in May 2017. During the year 2020, he directed the short fiction film El florecer de un bombisto, another winner of the INCAA Fiction Short Films Contest, which was also released in the same year. Also in 2020, he presented the short documentary film Cinco disparos, an audiovisual record produced in the province of Santiago del Estero. Later that year, he began making the short film Indómita soledad. In early 2022, he presented the short film El pájaro rojo and closed the same year presenting Recuerda, diario audiovisual. He is currently working on his next short fiction film titled La cerrazón, a cinematic work that completes the Tierra adentro Trilogy. Concurrently, he is developing his first feature film Ceremonia, which is part of the federal MAPA 2020 program carried out by the association of film directors PCI.
