Nelson Urdaneta was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He worked as a Programmer at Venezuela’s National Film Library. In 2010 he moved to Buenos Aires. and studied at Eliseo Subiela’s Film School. In 2011 he participated at the Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires. In 2015, he won the prize for script development from Venezuela’s national Film Institute (CNAC, as per its Spanish acronym) in order to write his debut film, Sons of the Road.
