Micaela Montes Rojas pursued her studies in Image and Sound Design at the Faculty of Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires, with a specialization in photography. In 2015, she introduced her debut short film, Vidas maltratadas. Collaborating with Pablo Guallar, she developed the documentary Crónicas de un exilio, which won the Raymundo Gleyzer – Grassroots Cinema Competition by Argentina’s National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts in 2015. In 2023, this production was also honored with the Best Film Award at the Entre Ríos International Film Festival’s National Competition.
