Maximiliano was born in Entre Ríos, Argentina. He studied Cinematography at Argentinas National School of Cinema (ENERC, as per its Spanish Acronym). He directed the TV series Ander Egg and El Lobo. Germania, his first feature film, was awarded with NDR Hamburg and thr Special Jury Award at Bafici, among others. His second feature film “La Helada Negra” premiered at Berlinale’s Panorama in 2015. His first documentary, “La siesta del tigre”, premiered at the international competition of Doclisboa in 2016. Jesús López is his fourth feature film. He is now developing the adaptation of Selva Almada’s non-fiction book Dead Girls . His second documentary film, “Sombra Grande” is in production stage.
