Mariano Llinás is a film director and screenwriter; and he is one of the members of El Pampero Cine, together with Laura Citarella, Alejo Moguillansky and Agustín Mendilaharzu. He became known in 2002 with his first feature film, Balnearios. His second film, Historias Extraordinarias (2008), won critical acclaim and numerous awards. His latest film, La Flor (2009-2018), won the Hubert Bals Audience Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival for its First Part, and the Best Film Award at the BAFICI 20th International Competition, for its three parts.
