Santa Ana is a screenwriter, director, and producer, graduated from the Argentine National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts’ School of  Filmmaking (ENERC-INCAA, as per its Spanish acronym). In 2016, he premiered his debut fiction film, Como una novia sin sexo, and the documentary El puto inolvidable. In 2017, he was the executive producer of El sonido de los tulipanes by Alberto Masliah. In 2018, he executive produced Lobos by Rodolfo Durán, and El cazador by Marco Berger. In 2020, he released Yo, adolescente, his second fiction feature film, which gained international recognition, achieving more than 2 million views on NETFLIX. In 2021, he released the documentary Ilse Fuskova, about the renowned Argentine lesbian feminist. In 2022, he directed the fiction films Luces azules and 300 cartas, and the documentary Fichines.
