He studied Social Communication and the Diploma in Political Situation Analysis at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a member of the selection committee of the Mexican Academy of Cinematography and the Platino Awards. He has directed the feature films Sobreviviente, Eros una vez María, Abolición de la propiedad, Alicia en el país de María, El alien y yo, and Recursos humanos.
