Javier Favot studied film at the National University of Córdoba. In 2007, he moved to Buenos Aires and began his career as an editor. In 2013, he founded CatnapCine, a company that co-produced the films Juana a los 12 and Parabellum. Que se alejen las luces is his debut feature film, which had its world premiere in the First Film Competition at the 31st FID Marseille.
