Florencia Silva was born in La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1996. She graduated as Director of Audiovisual Arts at the National University of La Plata. She works as an independent audiovisual producer. She also holds a degree in Professional Photography from the Vicente Viola Photo School. She was co-director and cinematographer of the short film Ahogar el nombre, which won the 2021 National Fund for the Arts’ Creation Fellowship. Her poetic search is based on a visual interplay of images, linking textures and lighting to investigate their aesthetic possibilities.
