Federico Gianotti was born in a rural area in central Argentina. He studied Social Communication and graduated as Director of Photography at the National School for Filmmaking and Cinematographic Experimentation (ENERC, as per its Spanish acronym). Attracted by the plain as a sensitive geography in Argentina’s history, he began to investigate it and established a special relationship with this subject. He traveled through different rural towns, recording sound testimonies and portraits, a work which finally culminated in a photographic exhibition. In 2021, he wrote and directed the short film Continuity of Grace, with which he participated in different international festivals and won a Special Mention at the Cortópolis Festival in the Province of Córdoba. In 2022 he obtained an Ibermedia Grant to continue the development of The Spirits, his first feature film.
