Diego Lerman was born in 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.He is a film director, scriptwriter and producer. He studied Design of Image and Sound at the University of Buenos Aires, as well as Drama at the Municipal School of Dramatic Arts. In 2002, he was selected for a residency at the Cannes Film Festival. To date, he has directed six feature-length films, for which he also served as script-writer: Suddenly (2002), Meanwhile (2006), The Invisible Eye (2010), Refugee (2014), A sort of family (2017), y The Substitute (2022). These films have been recognized in some of the most important film festivals in the world, and screened commercially not just in Latin America, but also in Europe, the United States and Japan.
