Máximo Ciambella studied Image and Sound Design at FADU (UBA). He directed Amancay, a fiction feature film premiered at 23BAFICI where he won the top prize in the Argentine feature film competition. He co-directed El árbol negro, which premiered at the 33rd Mar del Plata International Film Festival, where it won three awards, including the award for best Argentine film and best FIPRESCI film in all competitions. He directed the short film Cuento premiered at the Curta Cinema in Rio de Janeiro in 2017. He currently resides in Córdoba.
