Betania Cappato was born in Colastiné, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1984. She is a photographer and filmmaker. She studied at the Santa Fe Institute of Film and Audiovisual Arts. She has participated as a screenwriter, producer, assistant director, and art director in numerous films and television programs. In the field of photography, besides working on the development of her work, she is involved in educational projects and social transformation. Her documentary Frankie premiered at DocBsAs in 2018. Una escuela en Cerro Hueso is her debut fiction feature. La mujer hormiga, co-directed with Adrián Suárez, is her latest film.
