Paula Hernández is an Argentine screenwriter and director. Her film Los sonámbulos (2019) had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected by the San Sebastián Film Festival, the American Film Institute Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, and the Havana New Latin American Film Festival. At the latter, it garnered awards for Best Screenplay and Best Actress, as well as the Coral Prize for Best Film. Her subsequent film, Las siamesas (2021), was nominated for Best Ibero-American Film at the Goya Awards. El viento que arrasa (2023) has been chosen to feature at the Toronto International Film Festival, the San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Biarritz Latin American Film Festival, and the Mar del Plata International Film Festival.
