Sebastián Perillo was born in Buenos Aires in 1976. He studied at the Universidad del Cine and has been producing films, mostly fiction, since 2003, with 30 feature films to his credit. In 2016, he produced, wrote, and directed Amateur, which participated in several festivals around the world and won the awards for Best Fiction Film, Best Director, and Best Actress at the 24th Mostra de Cinema Llatinoamericà de Catalunya in 2018.
In 2021 he produced and directed The Nights Belong To Monsters, with which he won numerous awards at different festivals around the world like best Ibero-American director award at the Macabre Terror Film Festival (Mexico) and the best film awards at the Horrorant Film Festival (Greece) and at Sahasrara International Film Festival (India).
In 2024 he produced, wrote and directed his third feature film titled Biónica.
