Santiago Loza was born in 1971 in Cordoba, Argentina. He is a playwright, director and writer. He directed the feature films Extraño, Rosa patria, La Paz, Los labios, Malambo, and Breve historia del planete verde, among others. His films have participated in national and international films festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Berlin, San Sebastián and London. He has received the Tiger Award at the Rotterdam Film Festival; the Best Director, Best Film awards, as well as a Special Jury Prize at different editions of the BAFICI; a Special Prize from the Un Certain Regard Section at Cannes, and he also won a Teddy Award for Best Feature Film at the Berlin Film Festival.
