Matías Lucchesi was born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1980. His first film, Ciencias Naturales (2014), won Best Film at Berlin Festival’s Generation Section, and it also obtained the Jury’s Special Mention at the San Sebastian Festival (Horizontes Latinos), as well as the Best Film, Best Actress and Best Screenplay awards at the Guadalajara Film Festival. His second film, El Pampero (2017), premiered at the Miami Film Festival, and opened the Huelva Film Festival, among others.
