Carolina Vergara was born in Cordoba in 1975. She studied theater, photography, and graphic design. In 1998, she was part of the performance group Azul Phtalo, and later of the collective Sánchez-Vergara. Since then, she has worked in set design. In 2007, she began her career as an art director in film, participating in more than twenty fiction projects. Among her most outstanding works in this area are Atlántida (2014) by Inés María María Barrionuevo; Soldado argentino sólo conocido por dios (2016) by Rodrigo Fernández Engler; Julia y el zorro (2018) by Inés María Barrionuevo, Las motitos (2020) by Gabriela Vidal and Inés María Barrionuevo; and Zahorí (2020) by Marí Alessamdrini. The short film Al final del día is her debut as a screenwriter and director. She is currently developing Monte, which will be her first feature film.
