In 1965, three years before the premiere of George A. Romero's "Night of the Living Dead," director Ofelio Linares Montt filmed in Tucumán (argentina) "Zombies en el cañaveral", a horror film with strong political allegories. Following writer Luciano Saracino, who is determined to find the original script of the movie, this documentary traces the steps of this cursed classic, with the few images that have survived and testimonies from critics and filmmakers, in addition to actress Isabel Sarli herself. An idea is ventured along the way: could there be many "similarities" between the films of Linares Montt and George A. Romero?
