he history of Argentine horror cinema is almost always a story of forgotten, lost, or abandoned films. Within the first seventy years of our cinema's history, only thirty horror films were made. Starting in 2007, production increased to over three hundred, but even today many of the films that are made never get released in our country. There is hardly any research or literature about the genre, as if Argentine cinematography prefers to deny it. There is a historical absence of preservation and dissemination policies. It could be said that the history of our horror cinema is made up of cursed films.
