Melanie, a young Argentine-Korean actress, finds herself in crisis when she is offered the role of performing a monologue: a testimony from a “comfort woman” – women who were used as sexual slaves by the Japanese Army during World War II and are still ignored by society to this day. Melanie prepares for the role while navigating her daily life, but despite being able to utter the words, certain oppressions continue to live within her.
