Adriana Lestido

BIO

Buenos Aires, 1955. He studied film and photography in 1979 at the School of Film and Audiovisual Techniques of Avellaneda. He worked as a photojournalist between 1982 and 1995 for La Voz, Página12, and the Diarios y Noticias Agency. He has received awards and recognition, such as the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Hasselblad Fellowship, the Mother Jones Award, and the title of Distinguished Personality of Culture by the Legislature of Buenos Aires. His work is exhibited in museums around the world, including the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Modern Art Buenos Aires in Argentina, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in the United States. He has published eight books, including Metrópolis and Antártida negra. His debut film, Errante. La conquista del hogar, was awarded at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in 2022.
