Marco, an Argentine theater director, creates a play with a group of elderly people in Tokyo, based on their memories and fictions. One of the participants, Chiyoko, seeks to use this play to save her old Noh theater from destruction, and begins to dance in this ancient art form, a practice traditionally forbidden to women. In doing so, she confronts the spirit of her late husband - an old master - who asks her to find a forgotten pine tree, the birthplace of Noh theater hundreds of years ago. In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, these elders will strive to create a performance that changes their lives, confronting the darkness of the past, the light of friendship, and the mystery of death
