Lucas Pereyra is a writer from Buenos Aires who, amidst an existential and financial crisis, travels to Montevideo to collect money he was paid for writing a novel and to meet Magalí Guerra, an admirer twenty years his junior. However, as he crosses the river that separates the overwhelming routine of Buenos Aires from the mythical Montevideo, he will never be the same again.
